Group dog training “obedience” classes for adolescent dogs in San Diego.
Puppies six months old and older can join our small group classes to learn foundational skills using positive reinforcement training. These classes are often referred to as obedience classes, but we call them our Foundation Training Classes because we know your dog will learn so much more than how to be obedient.

The Teenage Stage: Foundation Training for Adolescent Dogs
Next start date is Wednesday, January 8th, 2025!
These classes are sometimes called dog obedience classes, but we teach our students so much more than how to have an obedient dog!
During this class, you will learn to use positive reinforcement training techniques to train your dog to do foundational behaviors including Down, Wait, Leave It, Relax on a Mat, Leash Walking, and cooperative care concepts for grooming and handling.
We focus on building strong relationships, consistent response to cues, and preparing the dogs to work with distractions as their training progresses.
Completion of this class qualifies students to register for our Practice Makes Progress: Level 2 group training class.
